On a sad note, I was informed by Ralph Sirianni, whose course on caricature I took a couple years ago, that Father Mike had passed away. While I hadn’t known Father Mike previously, his reputation for kindness and generosity was widely known by the other participants in the class when he volunteered to sit for us to draw. All the time he patiently sat, you could almost feel the sense of joy he exuded – he made you happier just being in the same room with him. So much so that I was struck with that sense, and I’ve been accused in the past of not being among the more sensitive individuals on the planet. I’m sad to hear of his passing, but I’m confident the place he’s gone to is far better than the place he’s just left. Thank you Father Mike, and God bless you.
What a beautiful memory and experience you have shared Bill.
